Deprescribing services
We tend to visit different doctors for different conditions that we are managing. But as we get older and begin to manage more chronic conditions, the numbers of prescriptions that we get prescribed tends to steadily increase. With this increase there’s more opportunity for these medications to interact with one another and cause undesirable side effects.
The process of deprescribing starts with a full audit of all medications you are taking. From there, medications can be combined, substituted, and optimised to make sure that the least amount of side effects are being experienced, as well as hopefully lowering that daily pill count!
